In 2013, Infamousworks Productions was born with our very first podcast series - The Infamous Chronicles. This show won several awards from Podomatic and Spreaker and features celebrity guests and rotating hosts. From the overwhelming success of this show, the podcasting arm of our company was born. We continued forward and produced five individual ongoing weekly series that combined for over a quarter-of-a-million plays.
Starting in 2013, The Infamous Chronicles was created by author and Infamousworks team member Jeremy P Elder as a way of passing time during late nights with his newborn daughter. What started as a way for him to promote his upcoming novel, Topics Too, quckly evolved. Adding co-hosts Maestro, from The Martian Landscape, and Oggy Rox, the show evolved into an SNL-type rotating host cast that at any one point would be rotating between 8-10 different hosts, with four hosts per episode. Additionally, the show had many celebrity guests including actors Daniell Savre (Station 19), Jonathan Lipnicki (Jerry Maguire), Matt Baca (Electives), Tracey Fairaway (Aquarians), Allen Regimbal (Bonejangles), Adam Huss (Power), Adam Bucci (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), musicians Linney, The Other Words, and The Dear Misses, Comedians Mike Bobbitt, Jeremiah Watkins, Ryan Budds, Kate Quigley, The Virzi Triplets, and much more. Amassing more than 50,ooo followers and over 150,000 plays over their current 115 episode run, this is our most successful production and was the one that started it all.
The newest original concept by Infamousworks, wholly original from RK Smiley and his crew. Weed Wednesdays is a weekly podcast focusing on cannabis culture and products here in Southern California! We'll review popular strains, talk cannabis pop-culture, and bring in guest hosts to join the discussion! New episodes drop every Wednesday!
Another spin-off show from the The Infamous Chronicles, original host Jester and original host Infamous, along with former Maternal Instincts host Gemini crack open this new gem. Where we give you a good wash and dry of all the weekly garbage internet news that's been fed to you courtesy of freelance writers who have nothing better to do than try and get clicks to pay their bills.
Yet another spin-off show from a former TIC host, Murder of Nerds is the newest member of the Infamousworks family and is by far the strangest show in the Infamousworks production line-up. Lead by former TIC host Sean Collier, aka Action Figure Junky, and co-host Jeremy P Elder aka Infamous, the show focused on the "nerd" side of TIC and tackled action figures, collectibles, comic books, books, television, film and all other things nostalgic pop culture. Amassing the second most plays out of all the Infamous shows, driven strong by Collier's large social media following for his customized action figures and collectibles, the show was a big success and even featured a special episode with a legendary animator. Also known around the internet due to a mid-season title change as The Nerd Chronicles, the show returned to the line-up on June 21 2019.
The first show to come from the framework and team behind The Infamous Chronicles, producer and comedian Casey Moran elected to start his own second series where he would be transparent and honest about his ongoing struggle with mental illness and speak with others about their own - and thus Discussing Depression was born. Featuring celebrity guests like Jonathan Lipnicki, Tracey Fairaway, Kate Quigley, Jeremy P Elder, Zara Misrahi, and more, Casey tackles his own personal demons and the demons of his guest week to week. One of the challenging podcasts available, this was such a groundbreaking program that high schools in the Southern California area began reaching out to Infamousworks quickly after release inviting Casey to speak about the podcast and his battle to their students.
